"Shards of military weapons in life size, found in the Donbas region, resemble parts of asteroids, with indentations and curves, whose sharp edges can easily kill or maim anyone in their rapid path from barrel to explosion and scattering.
Each shard has its own story, the circumstances under which it was found by me; its origin, where it came from, and how it ended up with me; the place where it was discovered. We will never know for certain which side of the conflict created it, but from the moment it scatters and causes damage, a new story begins—one connected to the places, situations, and people who were nearby and witnessed the horrors known as war.
Now, as I gather these shards, piece by piece, and put them together into a new story, I am telling the tale of what happened during the war, the personal involvement of people, fighters, volunteers, and citizens—each became a fragment that was knocked out of its place in life and thrown onto the battlefield!"
