You are always on my mind Zine

£26.00

by Ania Brudna

«Yalta, Crimea, early 2010s, hikes in the forest, endless wandering around the city and the area, summer sea, winter sea, parties in rented apartments, first independent trips, favourite music, first love. This zine about coming of age in Crimea I gathered from my teenage archives and from those of my friends. I miss Crimea and I know how other Ukrainians miss it, too. It seems there hasn’t been a single day since the start of the occupation that I haven’t thought of home and everything that russia stole from us. It’s hard to believe that 10 years have already gone. Time flies relentlessly and russian propaganda does not stop, trying to make us forget ourselves, forget what belongs to us and leave our home for good. That’s why it is crucial for us to keep our memories alive and maintain the connection with this part of ourselves. This zine is about a wonderful period of our lives, about our homeland, about a special place where we were happy and will be once again».
