Livyi Bereh Zine

£30.00 / Sold Out

by Serhii Pavlenko

«Livyi Bereh» is a profound story about the chaotic nature of Kyiv's left bank, which is transmitted through the author's texts and various visual practices, primarily photography.

The artistic and documentary texts of the book will become friendly guides that will help to reconsideration unique urban phenomena and reveal a hidden aesthetic universe, and most importantly, will allow you to live through the personal experience of being on the Left Bank.

The zine, which is mainly a photobook, contains and promotes a number of important ideas, such as Kyiv's decentralization, urban digging, civic activism, and the struggle to preserve cultural heritage. However, the key concept of the book is to spread an alternative view of the Left Bank, which provides an opportunity to look at this area from a new, unknown angle.

This project represents an ongoing search that can illuminate the behind-the-scenes diversity of architecture, monumental art, and cult locations located on the mystical Left Bank.
